A Darling Pumpkin

A Little Cold

Jackson caught his first cold this month (he made it more than ten months without getting sick!). He is doing much better ... we are just glad it was not the flu!

I found milk in the cupboard this morning. I guess that is what happens when a sleep-deprived mom gets up in the middle of the night to take care of a sick baby:


Nana, Granddaddy, and Uncle Bret sent Jackson a new hat to keep his little head and ears warm this winter!


A morning hug with Dad makes everything better.

Autumn Visitors, Part 2

Someone has recently been nibbling on our baby pumpkin. Today I caught the culprit furry-handed.

I Love My Husband

Barrie is the most wonderful husband - he is caring, loving, thoughtful, and truly does make me smile every day. He is such a good provider for our family. I love watching him with Jackson - he is an amazing father and he so loves our little boy.

I know I fall very short of being the perfect wife, but I am so thankful that Barrie loves me nevertheless.

Bath Time

Ten Months

Jackson is ten months old today! He is:

~ Still wearing size 3 diapers
~ Crawling all over the place
~ Pulling himself up (thinking about trying to walk?)
~ Giving kisses
~ Cutting his upper central incisors
~ Still sleeping through the night(!)
~ Getting more handsome each day
~ SO LOVED!

Autumn Visitors

Some Canada Geese decided to rest from migration and visit our little pond. The four ducks under the tree are ones that hatched at the base of our chimney earlier this summer. You may need to enlarge the photo to see them.

Jackson loves trying new foods. He eats EVERYTHING, which probably explains why he is now in the 75th percentile for height and weight (and now weighs 21 pounds, 10 ounces).

Little Bear Jackson is Ready for School!

Jackson started school (daycare) yesterday. Oh, what a hard day for mama, but Jackson had a wonderful time with the other children and his sweet daycare provider. He even showed off his new clapping skills! Here he is awaiting breakfast this morning, and wearing his favorite 'I Love Daddy' bib (a hand-me-down from his mama).

Barrie, Anna, and baby Jackson are back in Miles City!

We had a picnic on Labor Day with our friends, the Wambolts. Jackson and Karlee had a great time sharing their toys and posing for some pictures!




~ Nine Months ~
Jackson turned nine months old on September 6th. He is very proud to report that he is now sleeping through the night on a regular basis (!), he is now CRAWLING (!), and he can clap his hands when you ask him to (yay!). We praise God every day for such a sweet, smart, and fun little boy.
